Breaking NEWS! Industrial Revolution Begins!
RECONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE, BUT WE NEED YOU TO BE THE NATION'S ADVOCATE!
The citizens of the a re-imagined America NEED YOU!!! The end of reconstruction has left the country with many unanswered questions. Your task is to create an online newspaper to help inform and serve as an advocate for the citizens of this dramatically changing country. You will be covering and critiquing the events from 1879-1916. You will have to address issues of race, immigration, gender, equality, a changing economy, economic boom, America's role in the world, economic bust, and growing cities. In 1916, America is a very different place than in 1879, it's up to you to figure out how it changed.
You will be in a team of three. Each of you will choose to complete one of the three assigned tasks. Each task has it's own rubric. The teacher will grade each rubric. The rubrics will be averaged together to determine your grade on this project. It is highly recommended that you serve as editors to each other.
You will have four class periods to work on this project, between February 27-March 11. You will have two weeks to get this project done. (DON'T FORGET TO GET YOUR EVERFI)
FINAL DUE DATE
A DAY: MARCH 12
B DAY: MARCH 13
This is a pressing time for America. It's up to you to inform the public and be a moral voice, but it is just as important that you give credit to all of your sources. In an effort to due so properly (as it is a big part of your grade), as a team, please watch the following powerpoint to learn how to properly cite sources.
